Scarlet Lips|| 3.1

Today's post features the first of a three part series/ review of three shades of the new Maybelline Color Elixir lip gloss, received in courtesy of Refinery 29 and Maybelline. I have to admit the timing couldn't have been more perfect. When Refinery and Maybelline contacted me to try out this product, I was searching for a perfect gloss because the cold winter air was causing major havoc to my lips (and my sanity). Dry Chapped Lips, certainly not cute at all.

Today, I'll be taking my fave lip color for a spin; a shade in red, naturally- The "Maybelline Color Elixir in Signature Scarlet"

I'll keep this simple: Do I love it? Absolutely!
It's everything you need for a sexy red pout all in one sleek tube. The lipgloss has a nice silky feel and is highly pigmented, I didn't even find the need to reach for my lip stick for more color. Coming from a lip-stick junkie, that says a lot. It's Perfect for the winter months for ladies like me who have "thirsty" lips. I wore this for hours and didn't have to reapply. My other lip products are going to have a major complex soon, or worse turn green with envy.

Outfit
If you don't want to have to reach for that sparkly dress this holiday season, try this look with a little pop of color, leather details ad sparkly accents!

One LBD: Two Ways

Hey Guys,
When we think about how to style a black dress, we think neutral or statement shoes to spruce up the outfit. Since almost all of us already know this. I opted to style this sassy black dress form shoproxx a little differently (sans Jacket).
                 1. Pair it with a statement skirt for a holiday party.
The top keeps it elegant and the skirt adds so sparkle and shine to the outfit. It's the holidays and nothing says holiday like a pair of glitter pumps. Try a pair in gold, it glams up any outfit.

 2. For a night out with the girls or for a warmer look, try some tall boots . Also adds some contrast with the short hemline. Top off with a cape or Jacket and have fun with it.

Black Leather Dress and Silver Tones

Hello Guys,

Hope you had a wonderful thanksgiving holiday. For those of you who do not live in the US, I hope your weekend was delightful.
On Saturday, I went to a fundraiser for National kidney Foundation/ launch of the "Relationship Collection", a new nail polish line. (More details on that soon). This is what I intended to wear but unfortunately made a few changes at the last minute. I wanted wanted to do something a little different with a black leather dress. So I played with silver and black tones, adding a fun belt to accentuate the low waist line. As usual, I couldn't resist adding a white jacket because I am such a fan of mixing black and white tones in an outfit. They almost always turn out looking chic, regardless of the season. Absolutely no fear wearing white in the fall/ winter months for this girl. Be daring and wear your whites this winter, perhaps even a monochromatic look.

However for the event itself, being such a klutz, I got a mysterious stain on my white jacket so I had to change it up. I kept it simple by opting for a black jacket (not photographed here), changed my jewellery and purse. However, I still loved the result.

Nude dress and Blazer

Hello guys!
Just a quick hello to wish everyone a happy thanksgiving! I hope you get to spend some quality time with your family and loved ones. I know that's what I'm most grateful for today- my family. Especially the little bundle of joy I got to meet for the first time yesterday. I'm an aunt and he is perfection.
I'm also thankful for you readers, without you I would just be a girl having "tantrums" by herself.
(Oh and for online shopping on black friday- Tantrum-free shopping)
What are you most thankful for today?

Today's outfit features a mixture of nude and black tones with a touch of metallic. A simple skater dress topped off with a black Blazer, perfect for a small dinner with family and friends. As usual, affordability is essential when posting outfit ideas.
I think this blazer is the most worn item in my closet, I wear it everywhere and it goes with almost anything. Simultaneously, acts as one of my classics and essentials.

Cutout Shooties and Floral Cutout Top

"All the pretty colors!"
"All the pretty colors". That's what my dazed brain thought before I remembered it was only the first week of November. At the time, I had been at one of the stores I frequently go to for some shopping, and all the holiday decorations were out already! Wasn't Halloween a little over a week ago?
Is it just me, or does it feel like it's a little too soon. We haven't even had thanksgiving  yet!
Not that I am complaining (ok, maybe a little). It just feels like we would be saying goodbye to another year way too soon; but on a positive note, I love the holiday season.

Speaking of colors. I resisted the urge to tuck in this colorful top; instead, I let it fall and flow with the slightly flared shape of the skirt. I added a skinny belt for some definition. And, of course the shooties from my previous post "booties to fall for", which I'm in love with. Hit or miss?   Let me know what you think.

Isabel Marant for H&M

If you read my posts regularly, you would already know how excited I get about designer collaborations with smaller and affordable retail stores. This time, it is Isabel Marant for H&M.
Isabel Marant is a Parisan designer known for her breath-taking boohoo chic meets bohemian designs. For H&M, the collection features clothes, shoes and acessories with a mix of "rocker chic meets boohoo chic", some would say.    In true H&M fashion, there are even pieces for "the boys" and kids as well.
I already have my sights on some pieces (see below).  Thankfully, with H&M having recently expanded with online shopping last August, shopping for the collection would be much easier.
The collection goes on sale on Nov 14. So let the count down begin.

Visit the H&M offical website to view the entire collection.
Images also from H&M website.

                                                     As  always,
                                                     Love, Jenn!

It's Fall and as the crisp chilly air begins to drift in, most of us trade our peep toe pumps and minimalist sandals for booties. If you are in market for a new pair or just want to update your closet, here are a few booties that will surely get you noticed. Just because it's Autumn doesn't mean your footwear has to fall flat or boring. Mix it up a little with these trendy fun beauties.
