Fashion is never stagnant. It is constantly changing and evolving.
A faux pas becomes avant grande and cutting edge becomes more conventional. As evidenced by trends this season, even old trends begin to make major waves all over again. Before the fashion world began to go crazy over patterns, neutrals and solid colors were the norm. Now mixing patterns is a growing trend. Mixing florals and stripes has become one of my favorites this year. Florals and stripes for spring/ summer are not exactly groundbreaking but mixing them together takes a refreshing spin on this well beaten trend.
Wearing a skirt that already does the work for me, a floral-striped skirt from JCPenney JCPmuse Campaign matched with a striped cropped top. The Prabal Gurung coincidentally mimics the pattern of the skirt and flows perfectly with the look and theme. My favorite heels and faux-leather jacket complete the look.
